Palestinian factions issued a statement on Friday, reaffirming their support for the ceasefire measures in Gaza and demanding the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the enclave following their meeting in Cairo, Egypt.

The statement emphasized the importance of a unified national stance and a cohesive political vision at this time. It condemned any Israeli actions of annexation and population displacement in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.

Furthermore, it called for administrative control of Gaza to be handed over to a temporary committee of independent technical officials from the region.

In the statement, the Palestinian factions also urged the establishment of an international committee to oversee the funding and implementation of reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

They demanded full compliance with the ceasefire agreement reached earlier this month, which includes the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, the unconditional lifting of the blockade, and the opening of all crossing points, especially the crucial Rafah crossing, to ensure the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian aid.

The statement also stressed the need to strengthen unity within the Palestinian political system, and the commitment of the Palestinian factions to taking all necessary measures to ensure security and stability throughout Gaza.

The Palestinian factions also pledged to work together to unify their vision and stance, calling on all Palestinian forces and factions to convene an urgent meeting to agree on a unified national strategy to address the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.

The ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel, brokered by Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye and the United States, took effect on Oct. 10. Its first phase includes the exchange of prisoners and detainees, the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and a partial withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Despite the accord, both Israel and Hamas have accused each other of violating the truce.
