China has completed its first field test of all-electric farm machinery for vegetable farming as part of its efforts to speed up the integration of electric equipment and raise the overall mechanization rate of vegetable farming.
with trials running from June from Friday to Saturday, more than 20 new electric models, covering tilling, transplanting, crop management, and harvesting, were tested by the Nanjing Research Institute for Agricultural Mechanization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
At the test site in Nanjing City, east China's Jiangsu Province, a variety of electric machines, including transplanters, crop protection sprayers, multi-purpose work platforms, and transport vehicles, demonstrated their capabilities in real field conditions.
The evaluation aims to learn from different technical approaches and speed up the use of electric machinery to boost vegetable farming efficiency.
