China's domestically developed C909 medical aircraft made its Central Asian debut on Thursday at the ongoing 21st Kazakhstan-China Commodity Exhibition running from Thursday to Saturday in Almaty.
The aircraft is built by China's commercial aircraft manufacturer the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). It is being showcased in a static display at Almaty International Airport, marking the first time the C909 medical aircraft has been presented in the region.
Derived from the C909 base model, the medical variant features a flexible cabin that can be reconfigured to suit a variety of operational needs. It is designed to support multiple scenarios, including the deployment of medical teams, emergency care in remote areas, and the evacuation of patients.
The C909 now comes in multiple variants, including medical, business, cargo, emergency command, and firefighting models.
