The ongoing 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) showcased one-stop services for Chinese companies seeking to expand their services trade overseas, emerging as the event's major highlight.
China has posted rapid growth in services trade, pointing to a shift toward a foreign trade structure in which services become an increasingly important growth driver.
The latest official data showed that in the first seven months of 2026, China's services trade totaled nearly 4.4 trillion yuan (about 656 billion U.S. dollars), up 8.3 percent year on year.
The growing strength is drawing businesses from around the world, with a strong international presence at this year's trade fair.
The five-day CIFTIS opened on Wednesday, drawing participants from 90 countries, regions and international organizations, with over 1,800 companies showcasing their service products on-site.
"Today, it [has] also been told services [are] moving across borders, [moving] from finance and travel to brands, data and technology. That is why trade in services has become one of the most dynamic parts of the global economy," said Daren Tang, director general of the World Intellectual Property Organization.
This year's event offers Chinese companies one-stop professional support to enter foreign markets and expand the global footprint of Chinese services for the first time.
"Especially we've seen Chinese providers have been upgrading their brand, upgrading their customer service, and also being local in the local market," said Andrew Wu, CEO of Dun and Bradstreet China.
"Our group offers air, rail, and sea multimodal transportation, to better serve foreign trade enterprises' overseas expansion. One-stop support allows one-time commission and one-time customs declaration to solve customers' problem of exporting," said Wang Chuanmeng, executive director of Hebei Land Port Group.
The group also serves as an assembly center of China-Europe freight trains in north China.
"I give you an example. Traditional sea freight would take 52 days from north China's Shijiazhuang City to Hamburg of Germany, but now it only takes 18 days," said Wang.
