MANILA, Philippines, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Trinasolar, a global smart PV and energy storage solutions provider, has supplied 35,350 Vertex N 705W and 710W modules (NEG21C.20) for PetroGreen Energy Corporation's 25 MWp Bugallon Solar Power Plant in Pangasinan, reinforcing its role in supporting utility-scale solar deployment in the Philippines.
Bugallon Solar Power Plant was developed and is operated by Bugallon Green Energy Corporation, a project company under Rizal Green Energy Corporation, the joint venture between PetroGreen and Japan's Taisei Corporation.
The project recently received its certificate of compliance from the Energy Regulatory Commission and commenced commercial operations in the Philippines' Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) on September 5, 2026. Developed under the Green Energy Auction Program Round 2, the project turns auction-backed capacity into new generation for the Luzon grid. It is expected to generate approximately 51 GWh of electricity annually, offsetting approximately 36,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.
The modules supplied for Bugallon are Trinasolar's n-type i-TOPCon Vertex N 705W and 710W bifacial dual-glass modules. The modules' power temperature coefficient of −0.29% per degree Celsius and resistance to high-temperature and high-humidity environments support long-term performance in the Philippines' tropical operating conditions.
The project extends the partnership between Trinasolar and PetroGreen that dates back to 2015. Previous utility-scale solar projects include the 20 MWp Tarlac-2 project, the 27 MWp Dagohoy project in Bohol, and the 40 MWp Limbauan project in Isabela.

The newly launched Music Therapy Research Centre is directed by Ms LIU Ying, Visiting Associate Professor in the Department of Digital Innovation and Technology at THEi.
