Advanced unmanned and anti-unmanned products from Chinese companies wowed visitors at the 7th edition of the Unmanned Systems Exhibition, which was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from Tuesday to Thursday.
The three-day exhibition drew over 380 exhibitors from 39 countries and regions, showcasing the latest advancements in autonomous systems, robotics, and artificial intelligence -- including exoskeletons, robot dogs, and unmanned aerial vehicles designed for reconnaissance, strike, and support missions.
This year's exhibition covers more than 40,000 square meters, with the Chinese exhibition area second only to the host country, the UAE.
Products of several prominent Chinese companies, such as Norinco, China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation (CATIC), and Academy of Aerospace Solid Propulsion Technology, garnered widespread attention from the Middle Eastern market.
"Behind me is our flagship product at this expo -- Golden Eagle, or 'Jindiao,' CR500 unmanned helicopter. It can carry four to six air-to-ground anti-tank missiles. We specifically customized this unmanned helicopter for land forces. One platform can accommodate two helicopters, enabling forward reconnaissance and strike missions. This is also a popular unmanned equipment among Middle Eastern users. Besides unmanned equipment like unmanned helicopters, we also brought unmanned vehicles, including various payload models, and anti-drone equipment specifically designed to meet the demands of modern warfare. For instance, there are reconnaissance command vehicles, air defense radars, combined artillery and missile anti-drone weapon systems, high-power laser weapon systems, and more," said Chen Xiangyu, a Chinese exhibitor.
The host country showcased its domestically developed unmanned combat systems at the exhibition, including the JERNAS-M medium-high altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle and the JENIAH high-speed unmanned combat aircraft, among other core equipment, demonstrating its continuous investment and strategic deployment in the field of unmanned combat.
