美國一間公共圖書館收到一本逾期還書，職員察看之下，發現借出日期竟是1919年，超過1世紀

收到這本百年舊書的是明尼蘇達州聖保羅公共圖書館，職員檢查時看見最後借出日期為1919年。聖保羅市長卡特（Melvin Carter）表示，館方已於2019年停止收取逾期費用，因此不會有任何罰款。

據《美聯社》報道，這本書名為《著名作曲家》（Famous Composers），主要是討論巴赫、莫札特等人的生平和作品，有民眾在整理親戚的物品時，發現它屬於聖保羅公共圖書館，便將書籍歸還。

館方透露，由於書本狀況不佳，可能無法上架流通，但圖書館方面會好好保存，因為「它已經不再只是1本舊書，而是1件歷史文物。」
