On February 25, President Xi Jinping met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing during Merz’s official visit. President Xi put forward three proposals for advancing China-Germany relations: first, to be reliable partners that support each other; second, to be innovative partners featuring openness and mutual benefit; third, to be people-to-people partners with deeper friendship and mutual understanding.
