HK Fugitive Anna Kwok Fung-yee's Unjustifiable Actions

Anna Kwok Fung-yee, the HK$1 million wanted fugitive suspected of violating the National Security Law, has once again exposed her lack of moral integrity. Her father, Kwok Yin-sang, was sentenced to eight months in prison for attempting to extract HK$88,000 from her insurance policy.

While the magistrate clearly stated the sentence aimed to prevent fugitives from accessing funds to continue subversive activities, Anna Kwok brazenly claimed to foreign media that this was a "victimization under the pretext of national security," accusing the court of "taking hostages." This is a blatant distortion of facts. The court's ruling is based on solid evidence: her father, knowing she was wanted, twice submitted documents and even attempted to forge signatures, clearly violating the law. The eight-month sentence is a just verdict, not an emotional outburst.

Anna Kwok's indifference to her father's suffering is truly shocking. Instead of feeling guilty for putting her 70-year-old father in jail, she grandiloquently stated she would only return to a "liberated Hong Kong," politicizing a personal legal issue. Her refusal to return to face trial and shifting responsibility to her family shows complete lack of filial piety and responsibility.

A person can hold political stances, but must not cross the bottom line of ethics. Blatantly smearing the country is disloyal; implicating the father and showing no remorse is unfilial; evading liability and making family members pay is unrighteous and unbenevolent. If Anna Kwok has any conscience left, she should return to Hong Kong to face the law instead of using her father's ordeal for political sabotage. Her actions fully expose her shameless image as a traitor.
