帖文指出，霍爾木茲海峽作為國際水道，對所有尋求合法通過的船隻保持開放，美軍已作好部署與準備，確保航行自由不受影響。

然而，伊朗波斯灣海峽管理局同日亦在社交媒體發布公告，反駁美軍說法，稱霍爾木茲海峽目前無法通行。公告表示，待局勢恢復平靜後，當局才會重新審核海峽通行申請，並按計劃發放必要的許可證。之後美軍中央司令部再發文，指事實查證伊朗並無控制霍爾木茲海峽。
