「瞓捩頸」苦不堪言

一覺醒來頸部僵硬痠痛難以轉動？很可能是俗稱「瞓捩頸」的急性頸椎關節周圍炎（Acute Fibrositis） ，一般是因疲勞過度，以致頸項等多組肌肉長時間被牽拉勞損，加上睡姿不正和枕頭高度不適合等誘因，令一側肌肉群拉傷導致發炎或痙攣，頸部轉動或向後仰時疼痛不已。如果跟外國人交代這種情況，英文該怎麽說？

Acute Fibrositis是「瞓捩頸」亦即是落枕的學名，發音較難，而且未必人人都知道是甚麽？如果要用英文簡單交代這個情況，有兩種較容易、而且與「頸」相關的英文，一起看看例句吧！

• Get/have a crick in one’s neck 

我昨天睡在墊子上導致落枕。

• Stiff neck

突如期來落枕會令人感到很痛楚和不適，一般是由睡姿不良或枕頭不合適所致。

A sudden stiff neck can be quite painful and uncomfortable. It is usually caused by sleeping in an awkward position or on a pillow that is just not right for you.

落枕一般症狀包括痠痛或難以移動頸部，尤其是當頭部轉向一邊。

A stiff neck is typically characterized by soreness and difficulty in moving the neck, especially when trying to turn the head to the side.

今屆諾貝爾文學獎「爆冷門」由有美國民謠教父之稱的卜迪倫（Bob Dylan）奪得，評審委員指迪倫在美國歌曲傳統創出富詩意的表達，而他自1997年起已六次得提名，歌詞常被認為具有影響世界的文學價值。

爆冷是體育術語，用作形容賽前被看淡的球隊創造出乎意料的戰果，由於大熱著名文學家村上春樹再次與文學獎無緣，外界都認為迪倫奪獎實屬爆冷門。英文可以用名詞Upset形容。Upset作為形容詞意思為難過的、煩惱的、生氣的；動詞意為使難過、使煩惱、使生氣，兩者重音都在第二音節；但當名詞使用時意思為意外擊敗，亦即是爆冷門，注意名詞重音在第一音節。
